The lockout took a toll on some players when it comes to fantasy production. It might not be that big of a deal to them but it sure as hell is to you. Here are some players that were probably drafted in your league that you should start and some that you should probably leave on your bench.
Fantasy Football Week 2 Start ‘Em/Sit ‘Em: Get Your Detroit Lions Ready
Having trouble deciding who to start on your fantasy team in Week 2? Maybe this will help.

Matthew Stafford QB Detroit Lions -- Start
Matthew Stafford is going up against a Kansas City Chiefs team that struggled immensely against the Buffalo Bills. That KC’s defense can give up 41 points to the Bills is enough evidence that QB Matthew Stafford needs to be starting. Add in S Eric Berry being lost for the year, and Stafford could put up big points.
Matt Ryan QB Atlanta Falcons -- Sit
Matt Ryan takes on the Philadelphia Eagles and their talented secondary. The Chicago Bears didn't allow Ryan to score a touchdown in week one and even though the Falcons have talented receivers, if your backup QB has a more favorable matchup, you may want to bench Ryan this week.
Cedric Benson RB Cincinnati Bengals -- Start
The Denver Broncos couldn't stop Darren McFadden from running all over them at home on Monday Night Football. They're going to face the Bengals in week two after a short week of practice and they're already banged up like it's week 15. Cedric Benson may not be Darren McFadden but he's still a solid running back and he could net some decent points on Sunday.
Chris Johnson RB Tennessee Titans -- Sit
Chris Johnson's lengthy holdout didn't help his fantasy value at all. Yes, he's still one of the most talented running backs in the league and he'll get plenty of yards for you, but he may not be worth starting in week two. He's facing a very tough Baltimore Ravens defense and he only had nice carries in week one. He may not get many more this week.
Santonio Holmes WR New York Jets -- Start
If Kenny Britt can burn the Jacksonville Jaguars defense for 136 yards and two touchdowns then you know Santonio Holmes can do the same. The only thing that could hurt Holmes is if the Jets get out to a large enough lead that they stop throwing the ball.
Chad Ochocinco WR New England Patriots -- Sit
Chad Ochocinco seemed like a smart choice in the draft for many considering how talented he is and that he moved on from the Bengals to the major leagues in New England. However, Tom Brady threw for over 500 yards in week one and Ochocinco only got 14 of those yards on one pass. Doesn't sound like Chad's a very big part of the offense in New England.
Brandon Pettigrew TE Detroit Lions -- Start
The Chiefs gave up two touchdowns to the Bills' tight end Scott Chandler last week and Chandler is no Pettigrew. With Matthew Stafford slinging the ball around for the Lions, Pettigrew is a dangerous weapon, especially against a team that seems to allow a lot of points to opposing tight ends.
Chris Cooley TE Washington Redskins -- Sit
Cooley's knee trouble seems to be over but when it comes to tight ends for the Redskins, Fred Davis seems to be Rex Grossman's favorite target. Cooley caught two passes for 21 yards but Davis caught five catches for 105 yards. Cooley may get a larger share of the targets as the season goes on, but not enough to start him in week two.
Steelers Defense -- Start
The Steelers defense got embarrassed by the Baltimore Ravens in week one and they won't be letting it happen again in week two. On top of that, the Steelers will host the Seattle Seahawks, a team that won't be known for having a powerful offense in 2011. The Steelers are no-brainers in week two.
Chargers Defense -- Sit
Even though the Chargers had the best defense in the NFL last season, they’ll be traveling all the way across the country to face Tom Brady and the New England Patriots. Offensively, the Patriots seem to be as good as it gets right now and I wouldn’t suggest starting any defense against them right now.
