Falcons CB Dunta Robinson laid an illegal hit on WR Jeremy Maclin in Sunday’s game against the Eagles, and it didn’t go unnoticed by the league office.

Hanks instructed Robinson that additional infractions will result in even greater fines -- and potentially, suspensions.

The NFL has put more stringent rules in place to protect players, like receivers, and has the ability to suspend players for actions such as Robinson’s, if they deem it to be an illegal hit. They’ve yet to suspend anyone but we’re wondering if Robinson will be the first victim.
For his part, Robinson said after the game he doesn’t think it was an illegal hit.
