The Jaguars' season opener against the Tennessee Titans will likely be blacked out in Jacksonville due to lagging ticket sales. The Jags had more than 10,000 non-premium tickets available as of last Tuesday. The team bundled tickets to the team's Week 4 preseason game to anyone who bought individual tickets to the opener in hopes of spurring sales.

“The last thing we want is the first regular season game to be blacked out,” Mackey Weaver, the team’s Vice President of Marketing and Sales, told ActionNewsJax.com. “With the 9/11 significance of the game and the hated Tennessee Titans as the opponent, we’re going to have a big rally here.”
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers may also be forced to black out their opener against the Lions for similarly poor sales. The Jags blackout is somewhat more alarming, however, considering that the Titans are an interdivisional rival.
