Michael Vick Injury: Eagles QB Heads To Locker Room After Taking Hard Hit

Edit: He’s back in the game.

Michael Vick headed to the locker room in the third quarter of Sunday’s matchup between the New York Giants and Philadelphia Eagles after taking a shot during the Eagles’ first drive of the third quarter. Vick has been banged around for a second-straight week, just days after being cleared to return to action following a concussion. Last Sunday, Vick was knocked out of the game after taking a hard hit and being whipped into his own lineman, resulting in a concussion.

This time, though, it appears the injury is to Vick’s right hand. The trip to the locker room was for x-rays, according to reports from Philadelphia. After taking the hit, he did finish the drive, though the Eagles stalled inside the one-yard-line after two failed quarterback sneaks, leading to a field goal.

With Vick headed to the locker room, Mike Kafka was seen warming up on the sideline. Last Sunday, Kafka finished the game for Vick, though the Eagles’ defense fell apart in the fourth quarter as the Atlanta Falcons stormed back.
