Buffalo Bills rookie cornerback Aaron Williams was carted off the field on a stretcher late in the third quarter of their game against the Patriots. Williams was injured on 23-yard pass from Tom Brady to Wes Welker.

My bad on that. Heard someone saw Barnett. Was actually rookie Aaron Williams. Waved to the crowd as he was carried off.

Williams suffered a chest injury on the play. He left the game with five tackles on the day, four solo and one assist. He did manage to wave to fans as he was being carried off the field. The specifics and the severity of his injury have not yet been determined. He will not return to today’s game. Reggie Corner replaced Williams in the game.

New England had a 24-17 lead over the Bills at the end of the third quarter.

A former Texans Longhorn, the Buffalo Bills drafted Williams with their second-round pick in the 2011 NFL Draft, the 34th pick overall.
