Patriots Vs Bills: Wes Welker Having A Huge Day

Wes Welker has been a one man scoring machine for the New England Patriots today. The diminutive wide receiver and Tom Brady’s favorite target has 16 receptions for 216 yards and two touchdowns. His most recent touchdown grab tied the game at 31-31.

Welker’s totals have been a huge boost for fantasy football general managers who have him on their team. Those numbers are worth 34 points in standard scoring leagues.

Welker broke the Patriots’ record for the most receptions in a single game, which was previously set at 13 catches. This is the second time this season that Welker has scored twice in a game; he did it in the season opener against Miami.

Welker and Brady have been smashing records through the early part of this season. Coming into today’s game, Brady’s 940 passing yards through the first two games of the season set a new NFL record. His touchdown pass to Welker put him at 386 yards of passing today, to go with four touchdowns and four interceptions.
