The New Orleans Saints overcame a slow start from their offense and another less-than-impressive performance from their defense to score a come-from-behind 40-33 win over the Houston Texans on Sunday. Drew Brees tossed three touchdowns, completed a two-point conversion to Lance Moore and threw for 370 yards, while shaking off a pair of interceptions.

The second-half, especially, was filled with back-and-forth action that featured five lead changes. The Texans seemed to get the game's big break when Kevin Walter turned what looked to be an interception into a go-ahead touchdown catch when he scored from 20 yards out with 4:13 remaining. On the play, Walter collected a pass that deflected off two Saints defenders.

But Brees was able to march the Saints back and Mark Ingram put them back ahead to stay when he scored a 13-yard touchdown run. John Kasey sealed the victory with a late field goal.

The result ruined what was otherwise a strong performance from Texans quarterback Matt Schaub and a breakout performance from James Casey. Schaub threw for 373 yards and three touchdowns, with Casey making five catches for 126 yards and a touchdown.
