On Monday Night Countdown on ESPN, former quarterback Steve Young predicted that by the end of the season, we'll be talking about Washington Redskins quarterback Rex Grossman as a Top 10 quarterback in the NFL. As it stands, Grossman has led the Redskins to a fast 2-0 start with a 90.6 quarterback rating. Grossman has throw for 596 yards in two games with four touchdowns and two interceptions. He looks to lead the Redskins over the Dallas Cowboys to take a firm hold of first place in the NFC East.
Steve Young Thinks Rex Grossman Will Wind Up A Top 10 QB
Grossman is in his 9th NFL season, but hasn’t been able to put together consistency as a starting quarterback. Steve Young apparently thinks he will now. Yes, the same Rex Grossman who has a career quarterback rating of 72.2. The same Rex Grossman who posted sub 40 quarterback ratings in 4 different games in 2006, the only season he’s started a full 16 games. That Rex Grossman.
