One of the early surprises of this 2011 NFL season has been the Detroit Lions and their 3-0 record, defeating the Buccaneers, the Chiefs and the Vikings. This week the Lions will have their third road test of the season when they visit the Dallas Cowboys. Despite the undefeated record, the Lions opened as three-point underdogs against the Cowboys, according to our odds partner Odds Shark. Additional lines since then have the game as either a push or the Cowboys as one-point favorites.
NFL Odds Week 4: Lions Vs. Cowboys
The Detroit Lions take their 3-0 record on the road to face the Dallas Cowboys. Can Matthew Stafford and Calvin Johnson continue their torrid touchdown pace?

Make no mistake: this is going to be a tough contest for the Lions to pull out a victory. The Cowboys recovered from their opening night loss to the New York Jets by edging the San Francisco 49ers in overtime and then pulling out a 18-16 win over the Washington Redskins on Monday Night Football. And they have Tony Romo, who played with a punctured lung against the Niners.
The Lions, though, are not without their own weapons. Quarterback Matthew Stafford and Calvin Johnson are on pace to connect for 32 touchdowns this season, as the wide receiver is averaging two touchdown receptions per game. The over-under for this game is at 46 points, and Stafford and Johnson will do their best to move it beyond that.
