NFL Odds Week 4: Redskins Vs. Rams

The Washington Redskins are 2-1 and better than the St. Louis Rams in almost every statistical category, but are only one point favorites.

The Washington Redskins are 2-1 through their first three games, but they don't exactly have hoards of people believing in them. Following their loss to the Dallas Cowboys on Monday night - in which both teams played poorly - the 'Skins stock is way down. They're playing the 0-3 St. Louis Rams in Week 4, a team with a banged up quarterback, two banged up running backs and a banged up receiver. According to Odds Shark, the Redskins are only favored by a point.

All of the aforementioned injured Rams - Sam Bradford, Carnell Williams, Steven Jackson and Danny Amendola - have a good chance to play this weekend. All but Amendola participated in practice earlier this week and should be ready to go, while Amendola is still listed as questionable. The Redskins have no key players on the verge of missing the game, with slightly banged up stars Chris Cooley and LaRon Landry listed as probable.

The ‘Skins are beating the Rams in every statistical category except for rushing yards this season, possibly leading one to wonder what the oddsmakers know that the general public does not. Sure, the Redskins were bad on Monday night, but the Rams haven’t looked like anything resembling a playoff team to this point in 2011.
