The Dallas Cowboys could be without two of their star wide receivers as Dez Bryant could join Miles Austin on the shelf this week against the Detroit Lions. Austin is targeting a return in week six, but Bryant is currently dealing with a stiff thigh on a short week following Monday Night Football. The quad muscle has been troublesome for Bryant and it does not sound like it's getting any easier.
Dez Bryant Injury Update: Cowboys Wide Receiver Misses Beginning Of Practice
Friday’s final injury report will likely list Bryant as questionable for Sunday, which means we could be looking at a game-time decision. The good news is that Dallas plays a 1:00pm ET game, which means you’ll know early on whether to get Bryant in or out of your lineup.
If Bryant can't play, this injury could also hurt Romo a bit given the fact that he would be without two of his biggest receivers. Of course, he still has Jason Witten so he should be able to move the ball downfield. It would also mean more playing time for Jesse Holley who would become the team's number one wide receiver if Bryant is out.
For now though, we’ll have a subsequent update tomorrow depending on how much Bryant is able to practice, if at all.
