NFL Playoff Schedule 2012: Giants-49ers Will Meet In NFC Championship

The New York Giants waltzed into Lambeau Field and took it right to the Green Bay Packers, knocking off the defending Super Bowl champions to book a ticket to the NFC Championship. The big winner in all of this might be the San Francisco 49ers, who will now host the Giants next weekend for a trip to the Super Bowl. For the Niners, Sunday’s developments clearly beat the alternative of having to head to Lambeau for the NFC Championship.

The latest NFL playoff bracket update can be found here.

And with that, the championship round of the NFL playoffs is set. On one side of the bracket, the Baltimore Ravens and New England Patriots will battle for the AFC Championship at Foxborough. On the other, the Giants and Niners square-off in San Francisco for the NFC title. Both games get underway next Sunday.

Here’s a look at the full schedule on the NFC side.
