NFC Wild Card 2012: Giants Expect To Be Tested By Falcons

During an interview with WFAN, New York Giants defensive end Jason Pierre-Paul said he expects the Giants defense to be tested by an Atlanta Falcons team that had the 10th-ranked offense and eighth-ranked passing offense.

Via Sports Radio Interviews:

They’re going to come out and try to test us. It’s homefield advantage for us and they’re going to come out and try to test us in the run game and especially the passing game. When it’s all said and done, we’re going to fight to the end. … It’s going to be a great matchup.

Earlier this week, Giants defensive end Justin Tuck said most people would call the Falcons' offensive line "dirtbags". Pierre-Paul, a second-year defensive end from South Florida, downplays the affect the Falcons' line tactics will have on Sunday.

“At the end of the day, you have to go out and play football, regardless of what the offensive line’s like...We’re in the playoffs and you’ve just got to … grind it out.”

Dave Choate of The Falcoholic thinks it’s time for that Falcons offensive line to be flexible with their personnel.
