Falcons Vs. Giants, NFL Playoffs 2012: New York Remains Favored By Field Goal

The New York Giants saved the NFC East from having an 8-8 team in the playoffs, but they will host the 10-6 Atlanta Falcons on Sunday afternoon. Being the home team, the Giants opened as three-point favorites over the Falcons, according to Odds Shark. The line has stayed the same through Wednesday night.

While the Giants have won the last three games against the Falcons, this will be the first playoff contest between the two teams. With Eli Manning quarterbacking the Giants in all three games and Michael Vick and Matt Ryan quarterbacking the Falcons in two of those three games, games have reached into the 40-plus total points range.

The over/under for this game opened at 48.5 points has only fallen to 47 points. This season the Falcons have averaged 25.1 points and the Giants have put up 24.6. Incidentally, the Giants allow 25 points per game while the Falcons are slightly better at 21.9.
