NFL Playoffs Predictions: Matt Ryan, Julio Jones Need Big Days For Falcons To Win

The Atlanta Falcons will travel to New York to play the Giants in the second NFC Wild Card game on the 2012 NFL playoffs schedule. The Giants are three point favorites at home but the experts are split on who will win the game and advance to the divisional round.

SB Nation’s The Falcoholic has predicted a Falcons victory so we asked them why the Falcons will win the game and why they’ll lose:

Why the Falcons will win: The Atlanta Falcons will win because Matt Ryan and Julio Jones are such a potent combination. They will win because Michael Turner runs like an enraged bull through a rickety china shop. And they will win because they're capable of limiting mistakes and forcing the Giants to make mistakes of their own.

Why the Falcons will lose: The Atlanta Falcons will lose because of their sub-par pass rush and their inability to protect Matt Ryan. When they fail to get consistent pressure on Eli Manning, he will respond by torching the secondary. When they can't keep Ryan upright, he throws a pair of picks and cannot get the offense moving.

SB Nation’s NFL bloggers made predictions for Wild Card weekend and here’s a look at the updated NFL playoffs schedule for Sunday. Check out Big Blue View for the latest on the Giants and The Falcoholic for the latest on the Falcons.
