Tim Tebow and the Denver Broncos may have figured out a strategy to beat the Pittsburgh Steelers in the 2012 AFC Wild Card match-up. Stunningly, it seems that having the much-maligned Tebow throw the ball, instead of clinging to their NFL-best rushing game, is the key.

In particular, throwing on the run has worked for the Broncos and Tebow all day, and the throw to Daniel Fells that keyed the Broncos' fourth scoring drive of the day was only strange in that respect because it was planned. Tebow play-faked, then rolled left and threw to Fells, who ran free down the middle while Troy Polamalu cheated up on the receiver running free down the left sideline.
Tebow’s thrown for 186 yards on the day, all in the second quarter. And the Broncos have a commanding 20-6 lead on the Steelers, though Pittsburgh has made two red zone stops to limit Denver’s damage.
