NFL Debrief: Aaron Rodgers blows up, Ravens have big problems and Falcons are perfect
A lot went on in the NFL this weekend. Here are the biggest stories.

The Falcons toppled the Raiders on Sunday and the Texans dropped their primetime game to the Packers, meaning Atlanta remains the league's last unbeaten team. The Falcons haven't been particularly impressive the last three weeks but keep finding ways to win. Bad teams find a way to lose while good teams seem to always have good fortune on their side.

Aaron Rodgers looks elite again
Not that he wasn’t playing well this season, but Aaron Rodgers went on an absolute tear, becoming the fifth quarterback to throw for at least 330 yards, six touchdowns and no interceptions in a 42-24 rout of the previously unbeaten Texans.
Six touchdowns! That’s an insane number.
If there’s one play that epitomizes Rodgers’ play on Sunday night, it’s this one:
Rodgers rolls out to the right -- he’s so good on the run -- and is drilled as he throws the ball. But watch where it lands -- exactly where it needs to be. Under pressure, he delivers a perfect strike and of course it went for six.
The Packers’ QB also had the best reaction to his critics in the postgame show on Sunday night:
Season-changing injury news for the Ravens
The biggest news to come out of Sunday's action were a pair of injuries to Ravens defensive stars -- Ray Lewis and Lardarius Webb. Lewis suffered what is believed to be a triceps injury that could threaten the rest of his season. The Ravens also lost Webb, one of the league's top corners, to what is believed to be an ACL injury.
Losing either or both of those players would change the outlook of the Ravens' season. As far as losing impact players goes, there's Darrelle Revis' torn ACL with the Jets and then there's these two losses. This is one of the biggest injuries of the season. Tack on the Terrell Suggs injury and you gotta wonder how the Ravens will re-load after this one.
The bigger news here is whether this was the last we’ve seen of Ray Lewis in the NFL.

Another miracle in Seattle
Earlier this season it was the controversial call from the replacement refs against the Packers that led the Seahawks to a last-second victory.
The Seahawks didn’t need replacement refs this time.
With 1:27 on the clock, the Seahawks had a first-and-10 from the Patriots 46-yard line. Wilson dropped back and saw Sidney Rice with a step on the Patriots' defender and fired the ball deep, finding Rice for the touchdown.

Schedule watch begins for the Falcons
The Texans and Falcons both entered Week 6 unbeaten. Only Atlanta exited the week holding onto perfection. The Packers rolled the Texans while the Falcons were lucky to escape with a win over the Raiders. Matt Ryan threw three first-half interceptions and the Falcons looked sunk at several points.
The Falcons haven’t looked sharp in all of their wins this season, but they keep on winning. That’s in contrast to the Texans, whose five wins before Sunday night came in games that they controlled from start to finish.
Candidate for strangest play of the year
My Chiefs were blown out this week -- again -- but they treated us to one of the weirdest plays of the season. Check this out:
1. That's Michael Koenen, the Bucs' punter, trying to kick it away.
2. The punt is blocked.
3. Koenen picks it up and tries to throw it.
4. Chiefs LB Edgar Jones picked off the pass.
5. Jones runs into the end zone for a touchdown.
That, by the way, was the Chiefs’ only touchdown against the Bucs.
What can’t RGIII do?
That entertaining Chiefs play had no impact on the game. But Robert Griffin III had a terrific play in Sunday's game against the Vikings that had a very big impact on the game.
The Redskins were staving off a Minnesota comeback as quarterback Christian Ponder's two straight touchdown passes put the score at 31-26 in favor of the Redskins. RGIII and the Redskins' offense had lost the momentum and faced a critical third-and-6 to keep the drive alive.
Enter RGIII.
The whole “The legend of RGIII grows” angle has already been played out six weeks into the season. That should tell you how good he is.
His line reads like he’s a college quarterback: 17-of-22 passing for 182 yards in addition to 138 yards rushing and two touchdowns.
