Garcon could be shelved until Week 11

    Derick E. Hingle-US PRESSWIRE

Garcon was supposed to be the team’s No. 1 wideout, but he has appeared in just three games this season. He has caught three passes for 44 yards and no touchdowns since his big performance in the season opener. An 88-yard touchdown reception in Week 1 accounts for over half of his 153 yards receiving on the season.

Turnovers hurt Redskins in loss to Giants

Blogger UkRedskin of SB Nation’s Redskins blog Hogs Haven was proud of Griffin’s performance, but was disappointed in how the Redskins failed to protect the football all day long:

Making this even more disappointing is the fact that the Redskins had only turned the ball over five times all season heading into Sunday’s game.

Giants ‘fortunate’ to get victory over Skins

New York has seen plenty of these late game comebacks from Manning before, but Ed Valentine of SB Nation’s Giants blog Big Blue View says that the Giants were fortunate to escape with a victory. Valentine lamented some questionable play-calling in the fourth quarter that helped the Redskins get back in the game:

Manning had a pretty poor day overall despite throwing for 337 yards and the late score. Both of his interceptions were terribly thrown balls, and one was deep in Redskin territory. Ultimately, though, he came up big when it counted most, and that’s all that really matters.

Victor Cruz caught a 77-yard touchdown pass from Manning to take a 27-23 lead, on just the second play after falling behind in the final two minutes.

Victor Cruz 80-yard touchdown gives Giants the win

    Brad Penner-US PRESSWIRE

Cruz got behind the defense, despite the fact that plenty of Redskins defensive backs were in the area. Once he caught the pass, no Redskin was able to chase him down as he went all the way to the end zone.

The catch gave Cruz a final stat line of seven catches for 131 yards and the touchdown. Manning, meanwhile, finished with 337 yards, a touchdown and two interceptions, furthering his reputation as a clutch quarterback.

Ahmad Bradshaw is mad at Tom Coughlin

    Alex Trautwig

Oh, I get it his name is Ah-mad. Haha I didn’t even notice that before. So why is he upset with Uncle Coughlin? Well, presumably it was because Bradshaw didn’t get a touch inside the redzone. But that’s not true. Sources close to the situation are indicating Bradshaw went out of town recently and needed someone to watch his cats for the weekend. He asked Coughlin, who of course said yes because if you say no to your friend about something like watching the cats, you’re not a very good friend even though it’s super annoying and not fun at all.

But I guess the water bowl was empty and the cats were meowing a whole bunch when Ahmad got home. So Tom totally thought he could get away with going over there once and filling up the bowls then not coming back because cats are pretty much the most set it and forget it animal ever. So Bradshaw was all mad and stuff, naturally, because he asked his friend to help him out and he lied.

    Hamstring injury sidelines London Fletcher

    Brad Mills-US PRESSWIRE

Losing Fletcher has repercussions far beyond his production. His leadership that will be missed even more than his dominant defense. He was on pace for one of the best years in his career, already amassing 54 tackles, one sack, one forced fumble and five passes defended in six games. Fletcher may not be the Redskins’ highlight reel player, but he’s their most reliable defensive player. Any loss, no matter how short, is a concern.

No further updates have been released at this time, but it’s hard to imagine one of the NFL’s iron men will miss any significant time. Fletcher has started every game he’s played in since 2000.

Bradshaw to play for Giants, Garcon out for Skins’

    Al Bello

All week, Bradshaw had been battling a foot injury that forced him to be limited in practice Thursday and miss Friday. However, it seems the Giants’ leading rusher was held out so he could play against the division rival today.

    Geoff Burke-US PRESSWIRE

Things started off very promising for the Redskins’ No. 1 receiver, but he has had his whole season thrown off with this foot injury.

No other Redskins receiver is worth starting in anything but very deep leagues.

Bradshaw will play Sunday vs. Redskins

    Stephen Dunn

Bradshaw returned to practice Thursday after being held out Wednesday, but was against held out of practice again on Friday. He was listed as questionable heading into the weekend.

The biggest worry for fantasy owners should be whether Bradshaw will be limited at all during the game. He could benefit from the extra rest, however. Bradshaw has played through pain before, and gave owners every reason to start him as at least an RB2 going forward after rushing for 316 yards over his last two outings.
