Greg Jennings injury: Packers not ruling out surgery

Green Bay Packers wide receiver Greg Jennings is still considering surgery as an option for his injured groin according to coach Mike McCarthy.

Green Bay Packers wide receiver Greg Jennings has not ruled out surgery to repair his groin injury, head coach Mike McCarthy told ESPN's Adam Schein. Schein reports that even if Jennings does opt for surgery, it would not be season-ending.

Jennings has not played in the last three games since the Packers' Week 4 victory over the New Orleans Saints and is expected to miss Sunday's contest against the Jacksonville Jaguars as well. The injury has been bothering him all season, as it also forced him to miss Green Bay's Week 2 game against the Chicago Bears.

Jennings only has 12 receptions for 78 yards and one touchdown through three games this year. Last season, Jennings caught 67 passes for 949 yards and nine touchdowns in 13 games. Jennings was a second-round pick of the Packers back in 2006 and has caught 401 passes for 6,249 yards and 50 touchdowns during his career in Green Bay.
