Matt Ryan fantasy update: Falcons QB on fire in 1st half vs. Eagles

The Atlanta Falcons are trying to remain the NFL's only undefeated team in Philadelphia this week, and Matt Ryan and his weapons on the outside have them off on the right foot. Atlanta leads the Eagles, 24-7, as Ryan hit Julio Jones over the top for a huge second-quarter 63-yard touchdown.

Ryan is 17 of 20 for 197 yards and three touchdowns so far, while Jones has three catches for 76 yards and the big score. Drew Davis was on the receiving end of Ryan's first touchdown, hauling in a fade to the back right corner and dragging his feet for the game's first touchdown. That set the tone for an unimpeded first half for the Falcons, who are facing an Eagles defense under new coordinator Todd Bowles.

On the 63-yarder, Jones beat Philly's Nnamdi Asomugha right off the line, bursting around the veteran corner on the outside and getting behind the defense down the left sideline. Ryan dropped it right in and Jones was off to the races. He avoided being pushed out of bounds inside the 10-yard line, and crossed the plane just inside the pylon for the touchdown. The quick-strike was a prompt response to to the Eagles first touchdown, pushing the Atlanta lead back to 14 points.

Ryan and the Falcons offense got one more shot in the final two minutes, and he worked the two-miunte drill to add three more before the half.
