Colts vs. Titans game recap: Andrew Luck delivers in overtime to lead Indianapolis past Tennessee

Andrew Luck was strong once again and he came through huge in overtime, finding Vick Ballard with a touchdown pass to upend the Titans.

For four quarters on Sunday, the Indianapolis Colts moved the ball with ease, but the game is not measured in yards. Points are what matter and the Colts couldn't turn their drives into points, but in overtime, Andrew Luck finally got the job done. He found Vick Ballard for a 16-yard touchdown pass and delivered a 19-13 win over the Tennessee Titans.

The Titans jumped in front with a field goal on the opening drive and while the Colts answered that with three points of their own, Tennessee notched a second quarter touchdown to go up 10-3 at halftime.

Indianapolis had to feel hard done at that point, having moved the ball on all three possessions, but they had to settle for a field goal on one, stalled in Titans territory on the second before punting and then having a field goal blocked on the third. They just couldn’t finish drives and it showed on the scoreboard.

The Colts' problems continued into the second half, but when they got the ball in the fourth quarter down 13-6, they finally broke through. A 14-play, 8--yard drive culminated in a one-yard touchdown run by Delone Carter and the game was heading to overtime.

In overtime, they showed the same ability to move the ball that they had for four quarters, but this time added their newfound ability to finish. They received the kick and nine plays later, Ballard was standing in the end zone after reeling in a screen pass and rumbling to six points with the game-winning touchdown catch.

Fantasy studs/duds: Reggie Wayne was Luck's favorite target all day and had seven catches for 91 yards, but he never found the endzone. Chris Johnson also had a strong day for Tennessee, picking up 99 yards, but he also failed to find the end zone. For more fantasy analysis, head to our fantasy football page.

Odds/Gambling: The Titans were favored at home so they clearly didn’t cover. If you took the Colts on the moneyline, double congrats.

Injury info: Neither team suffered any major injuries.

Next team on the schedule: The Colts return home to take on the Dolphins next week as they try to continue their impressive season by improving to 4-3. The Titans will try to get back on track when they host the Bears.
