Green Bay Packers running back Cedric Benson has been ruled out for the team's Week 6 match-up against the Houston Texans with a foot injury, as Tyler Dunne of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports. The 29-year-old was wearing a boot on his left foot Monday during the Packers' practice.
Cedric Benson injury: Packers RB ruled out Week 6
A foot injury will keep Green Bay Packers running back Cedric Benson out of Sunday night’s game against the Houston Texans.

The team's primary running back this season, Benson didn't initially believe his injury was that serious, but it's bad enough that Green Bay has already listed him as out. In his place, the Packers will likely go with some combination of Alex Green, John Kuhn and possibly James Starks.
While the Packers didn’t stray from Benson early in the season, the running back hasn’t exactly torn through defenses so far this season. Over the first five games of 2012, he’s carried the ball 71 times for 248 yards and a touchdown, averaging just 3.5 yards per carry. He’s also caught 14 passes for 97 yards.
