Rob CarrAnother factor in the big passing numbers was that the Ravens took a huge lead early and stepped on Oakland’s neck, winning 55-20.
Fantasy Impact: Palmer is probably a better fantasy QB than real-world QB. He’s combined for 782 yards the past two games, yet the Raiders are 0-2 thanks to an atrocious defense.

Patrick SmithThe Ravens went on to paste the Raiders 55-20.
Fantasy Impact: Smith was targeted six times, but could only connect on two of those, but those two happened to be scores. It was that kind of weird day for the wideout, but fantasy owners won’t complain with the results.

Rob CarrFlacco got pulled in the 4th quarter with the game well in hand, as the Ravens curb-stomped the Raiders 55-20.
Fantasy Impact: Flacco has been pretty inconsistent for fantasy owners this season, but when he’s on, he’s capable of putting up monster numbers like the ones this week. It helps that the Raiders are in a downward spiral.

Rob CarrThe Ravens dominated the game from start to finish, taking a 10-0 lead in the first quarter that they never relinquished. Baltimore scored 17 points in the second quarter and 21 more in the third to take a commanding advantage.
Oakland actually outgained Baltimore in total offense, 422 to 419 yards. But they committed three turnovers and couldn’t keep up with a couple of quick strikes by the Ravens that helped to put the game out of reach.

Evan Habeeb-US PRESSWIREThe Harbaughs are not known for their generosity or showmanship. Both Jim and John are concerned about winning, and that is really all they seem to care about when they’re coaching on the field. They don’t care about antiquated rules of “class” and “that’s how the game is supposed to be played,” and while it might irk some people (see: fans of other teams), it’s completely fine with me.
You see, I am used to watching my coaches punt on 4th and 1 or mismanage the clock or take knees or run three times then punt to try and “flip the field” and play the “field position battle.” I don’t get to see my team score 40 points in a game or stomp on another team’s dreams.

Until footballs have the right to vote, they’re going to try to make a run for it whenever they get the chance. They’re tired of being imprisoned, forced to do the bidding of greased up, sweaty guys in uniforms. Footballs never get to unionize or get a minimum wage or health care or benefits.
Nobody ever thanks the ball for being such a hard worker, for creating such a tight spiral, for bouncing just the right way, for being kind of sticky so that a running back can hold it well and score a touchdown.

Howard Smith-US PRESSWIREReed led with his shoulder and Heyward-Bey absorbed the contact and did not go down, instead running 55 yards for the score.
Lucky for the Ravens, the score came just a little before halftime, and the Baltimore training staff will have an extended period of time to diagnose the injury. At best, Reed’s return has to be considered questionable.

Ezra ShawThe Raiders’ run game has struggled this season, averaging just 3.6 yards per carry, but Jones has just one carry for two yards. Baltimore is ranked 28th against the run.
Jones and Reece both make risky flex plays in Week 10.

Evan Habeeb-US PRESSWIREBaltimore comes into the contest leading the AFC North by one game with a 6-2 mark. Head coach John Harbaugh has his team playing well once again, looking like one of the conference’s Super Bowl contenders.
On the other sideline, first-year coach Dennis Allen has been making strides with his inconsistent team in Oakland. Allen doesn’t have near the talent to work with, but has kept the Raiders respectable with a handful of good performances.
