Raiders vs. Ravens, Week 10: ‘Everything but a defensive touchdown’

The Baltimore Ravens scored the most points in team history, rolling to a 55-20 blowout over the Oakland Raiders.

The Baltimore Ravens set a franchise record for points in a 55-20 romp over the Oakland Raiders, clicking on all cylinders with five offensive touchdowns and two more on special teams.

At 7-2, the Ravens have established themselves as one of the best teams in the AFC. But they hadn't done it comfortably: Baltimore hadn't won a game by more than ten points since Week 1, winning games by one, two, and three points at some point during the season. So it was nice for the Ravens to call off the dogs early, taking a 31-point lead into the fourth quarter and adding to it on a 105-yard Jacoby Jones kickoff return. Obviously, the focus after the game was on the offense for the aptly named Baltimore Beat Down, who praised the team's play in their postgame recap:

Flacco looked impressive as he carved up the Raiders defense on almost every drive. He passed for 341 yards with three touchdowns and one interception. Joe had several long passes over the top to Torrey Smith, Jacoby Jones and tight end Ed Dickson.

The defense didn't play spectacularly, but obviously didn't need to. Carson Palmer had 368 yards passing in a losing effort, while the Ravens held the Raiders to only 3.0 yards per carry.
