Strong defense key to Colts win over Bills

Joe RobbinsColts cheerleaders shave heads for Pagano

In a move of solidarity, Indianapolis Colts players elected to shave their heads in honor of head coach Chuck Pagano, who lost his hair as a result of chemotherapy/radiation treatment for his leukemia. It was a moment in this NFL season that saw players rally around their missing coach, and now the movement has spread further in the Colts organization.
Yes, these are two Colts cheerleaders -- electing to lose their hair to support Pagano, and further show how close this organization has become in the wake of his illness. For a player to lose his hair, that’s impressive. But a cheerleader whose job is based on glamour and traditional depictions of female beauty? Absolutely stunning.

Jonathan DanielHilton was able to walk off under his own power but not before laying on the ground motionless for an extended period of time. Hilton fumbled the ball after receiving the devastating hit but the call on the field was overturned after it was ruled that his backside was down. No helmet-to-helmet penalty was called on the play because Hilton was already spinning downward when the hit was delivered.
With the severity of the blow, it wouldn’t be surprising at all if Hilton’s day is done. If he is feeling up to returning, he’ll likely have to pass concussion protocol before getting back on the field.

Brace Hemmelgarn-US PRESSWIREFred Jackson active, but C.J. Spiller to start

Tom SzczerbowskiFantasy Impact: The Bills’ coaching staff apparently heard the cries of frustrated fantasy owners, and will give Spiller a chance to pace the running game despite having an apparently healthy Jackson available. Spiller has been one of the NFL’s most effective running backs this season, averaging 6.6 yards per carry.
That isn’t to say that Jackson won’t have a role, but a pure timeshare as in weeks past is not expected. Jackson is probably better left on fantasy benches this week, assuming the Bills are true to their word.

Jim RogashThe Indianapolis Colts (6-4) welcome the Buffalo Bills (4-6) on Sunday as rookie Andrew Luck hopes to rebound from the first truly disappointing game of his young career.
The Colts were blown out in New England in a much-hyped showdown with Tom Brady and Patriots. Luck tossed three interceptions, including a pick-six in the fourth quarter, as Indianapolis allowed 35 points in the second half of the 59-24 loss. The Colts had won four games in a row as Luck’s legend grew, but he’ll have another tough test against a good pass defense in Buffalo.
