Fred Jackson is active for Sunday’s game between the Bills and the Colts after sitting out last week with a concussion. We break down the fantasy implications.
Jackson won't be playing in a timeshare, however, after C.J. Spiller was announced as the Bills' starter at running back earlier in the week. Jackson is expected to play a change-of-pace role against the Colts.
Fantasy Impact: The Bills’ coaching staff apparently heard the cries of frustrated fantasy owners, and will give Spiller a chance to pace the running game despite having an apparently healthy Jackson available. Spiller has been one of the NFL’s most effective running backs this season, averaging 6.6 yards per carry.
That isn’t to say that Jackson won’t have a role, but a pure timeshare as in weeks past is not expected. Jackson is probably better left on fantasy benches this week, assuming the Bills are true to their word.
