Giants vs. Packers: New York cruises to prime time win

Brown suffered the injury on a 16-yard run in the fourth quarter. The big gain was in the middle of the Giants’ 17-yard, 85-yard drive that took 9:23 off the clock and helped salt the game away.

Before going down, Brown had 13 carries for 64 yards and one score. His 2-yard touchdown run opened the scoring for New York. Prior to Sunday’s game, Brown had 60 carries for 321 yards and seven touchdowns on the season.

New York was supposedly suffering from a November slump after losing two straight while the Packers had won five in a row. But the Giants were up 31-10 at the half and didn’t look back.

Fantasy studs and duds

Fantasy Impact: This is shaping up to be one of the best games Bradshaw has had in quite a few weeks. He hasn’t found the end zone since Week 7, so perhaps the Giants’ bye week helped him fully recover from the long list of ailments he’s constantly dealing with.

After failing to score a single touchdown in each of his last three games, Eli Manning came out firing in Week 12 against the Packers. Through nearly two quarters of play, he’s completed 8 of 15 passes for 132 yards and two touchdowns.

The Packers’ secondary is basically letting Manning do whatever he wants, while Aaron Rodgers is surprisingly struggling to finish some drives.

Crosby’s kick turned out exactly as you would have expected.

Crosby has now missed eight of his last 14 field goal attempts, five of his last eight. If that keeps up, McCarthy might not be able to stand by his man any longer.

Jennings hasn’t played since Week 4 when he aggravated a groin injury and turned it into a season-long issue.

Fantasy Impact: Jennings remains a decent roster stash for the fantasy playoff races, but it was a longshot to happen this week. Now that he’s out, fantasy owners can bench him another week.

When the Giants beat the Packers in the playoffs, the eventually win the Super Bowl. That was the case in the regular seasons of 2007 and 2011.

Their struggles lie in the regular season, where the Packers have won three of the last four meetings between these teams. They’ll square off in Week 12 on Sunday Night Football in New York.

The Giants will be the home team Sunday night as they come out of a bye week looking to snap a two-game losing streak. After a shaky start, the Packers have now won five in a row.

Over at CBS Sports, the experts are split evenly, with four taking the Giants and four predicting the Packers will win on the road. The ESPN analysts have similar disagreements, also splitting their picks at four a piece.

It is important to note that while the Packers are underdogs, they have won nine of their last 10 games against the spread. They have also won each of their last four games on the road against the Giants.

The total for the game sits right around 50, and both teams are capable of putting up big numbers. The Giants have scored at least 26 points in each of their six wins this season, while the Packers have scored 30 or more in three of their last five games.
