Andre Brown injury: Giants RB reportedly has broken fibula

New York Giants coach Tom Coughlin announced that running back Andre Brown broke his fibula in the team’s 38-10 win over the Green Bay Packers.

The New York Giants blew out the Green Bay Packers 38-10 on Sunday night, but coach Tom Coughlin delivered some bad news after the game when he announced that running back Andre Brown had a broken leg:

Brown suffered the injury on a 16-yard run in the fourth quarter. The big gain was in the middle of the Giants’ 17-yard, 85-yard drive that took 9:23 off the clock and helped salt the game away.

Before going down, Brown had 13 carries for 64 yards and one score. His 2-yard touchdown run opened the scoring for New York. Prior to Sunday’s game, Brown had 60 carries for 321 yards and seven touchdowns on the season.

There's currently no word on whether Brown will be put on injured reserve, but the 25-year-old's season is likely over. With Brown on the shelf, Ahmad Bradshaw stands to take over the majority of the carries for the Giants, but David Wilson could also see more action.
