Denver opened up as seven-point favorites, but the fact that the Broncos have outscored their opponents by 8.8 points per game this season perhaps swayed bettors into placing money on the home team. That line of thinking goes against how each team has performed against the spread in 2012; Denver is just 6-5 in that category, while Tampa Bay is 8-2-1, including 5-0 on the road.
The over/under is set at 50, a very fitting number considering the Bucs and their opponents have combined to average 51 points per game, while the Broncos and their foes score 49 per contest. Both teams’ offenses rank in the top five in the league in scoring, putting up more than 28 points per game apiece.
Kickoff is slated for 4:05 p.m. ET on Sunday. The game will be televised on FOX.
