Rolando McClain suspended for 2 games

Rolando McClain will miss Oakland’s next two games after being suspended for “conduct detrimental to the team.”

Rolando McClain's suspension from the Oakland Raiders will reportedly be for two games, according to Bay Area News Group blogger Steve Corkran on Twitter. The suspension has been handed down for what is being called "conduct detrimental to the team," and he will rejoin the Raiders on Dec. 10.

Originally, McClain had been told to stay away from Oakland's practice on Thursday. He then tweeted that he was no longer a Raider, but eventually learned that he had not been cut, instead just suspended. The suspension will force McClain to miss out on games against the Cleveland Browns on Dec. 2 and the Denver Broncos on Dec. 6, both home games.

After telling everyone that he had been released from the Raiders altogether, a two-game suspension might not actually sound that bad to McClain.

The 23-year-old linebacker has put up 60 tackles, a sack and a forced fumble so far in the 2012 season for Oakland.
