The Baltimore Ravens rebounded from a blowout loss against Houston with an ugly win in Cleveland, escaping with a 25-15 win over the 2-7 Browns on Sunday afternoon.
Ravens vs. Browns, Week 9: Baltimore fans frustrated with another ugly win
It was another tough game for the Baltimore Ravens as the offense needed nearly three quarters to finally get going against the Cleveland Browns.
The Ravens offense struggled for the second straight week after going up 14-0 early in the first quarter, went six straight possessions without a first down. Baltimore held the Browns out of the end zone, but allowed five field goals by Cleveland kicker Phil Dawson as the Browns took a 15-14 lead with just over eight minutes remaining in the fourth quarter.
Baltimore would wake up, with quarterback Joe Flacco leading the Ravens to 10 points in the final five minutes of regulation to secure the win for the Ravens. Flacco was just 15-of-24 for 153 yards and a touchdown, with Ray Rice picking up 98 yards on 25 carries.
Baltimore created just 282 yards of offense in the game with Zachary Beard of Baltimore Beatdown lamenting that once again, fans have to be happy with just getting a win.
Overall it was a frustrating outing by the Ravens, the final score does not even come close to describing how tight the game actually was. It wasn't pretty; it was filled with the many highs and lows that Ravens fans have become accustomed to this season. But as the saying goes, "a win is a win", and I'll take a win over a loss any week. The Ravens will look to extend their win streak to two next week as they play the Oakland Raiders.
The Ravens will take on the Oakland Raiders on Nov. 11, with kickoff set for 1 p.m. ET.
