Week 15 NFL picks: Steelers vs. Cowboys

Analysts are giving a slight edge to the Steelers over the Cowboys in this big game with huge playoff implications for both teams.

Both the Pittsburgh Steelers and Dallas Cowboys are coming into their Week 15 matchup in Dallas with 7-6 records and both teams are right in the thick of the playoff hunt. The Steelers are tied with the Cincinnati Bengals for the sixth seed in the AFC (they currently hold the tie breaker) and are looking to stay there while the Cowboys are on the outside and desperately trying to claw their way in.

While there are plenty of NFL analysts predicting the win will go to Dallas, the majority of them are predicting the Steelers, who will once again be led by Ben Roethlisberger to come away with the Week 15 victory.

CBS Sports’ Pete Prisco believes the Steelers will win a close game by a score of 28-20 in Dallas.

The Cowboys kept their season alive by beating the Bengals in an emotional game, but now they have to get back to some normalcy. The Steelers looked awful last week in losing to the Chargers. Can they bounce back? I think they can.

The rest of the CBS Sports crew agrees as they have overwhelmingly picked the Steelers to win. The only person to pick the Cowboys to win was Will Brinson.

ESPN was a little more even. Nine analysts predicted the Steelers would win to the five that predicted the Cowboys would come away victorious. Chris Mortensen, Mike Ditka and Ron Jaworski were among those who are siding with the Cowboys while Adam Schefter, Mark Schlereth and Merril Hoge picked the Steelers. Yahoo! Sports were split down the middle as two picked the Cowboys and two picked the Steelers.

The game could likely go either way, but if NFL analysts are to be trusted, which isn’t always the case, the Steelers will be defending their wild card spot against the Bengals in Week 16 while the Cowboys start thinking about the 2013 season.
