Roddy White injury: Falcons WR to play vs. Giants

Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Roddy White will be active against the New York Giants, keeping his career-long streak of not missing a game intact.

Bob Donnan-USA TODAY Sports

Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Roddy White will be active for Sunday's game against the New York Giants, according to Kimberly Jones of the NFL Network via Twitter. White, who is dealing with a knee injury, was listed as "questionable" on the team's final injury report Friday.

White did not practice at all this past week, but there was little doubt regarding his status for this game. While another player might have been inactive in the same situation, White has not missed a game over the course of his entire NFL career.

That’s eight years without missing a game, despite appearing on injury reports as often as anyone else.

White is Matt Ryan’s top receiver this season, and with three games to play, he’s already at 1,140 yards off of 77 receptions. His touchdown numbers are slightly down, with five, but Ryan is doing a good job of spreading the ball around.

If White is limited at all, Julio Jones is the top option behind him. Atlanta is on the verge of having two 1,000-yard receivers, as Jones has 997 on the season.
