Man reportedly falls at Gillette Stadium

An unidentified man fell from above a tunnel at Gillette Stadium on Sunday night.

As the New England Patriots and San Francisco 49ers finished up their Sunday night meeting, an unidentified man fell nearly 30 feet from the ledge on top of a tunnel at Gillette Stadium from Foxboro, Mass., and was immediately taken to the hospital.

According to the NFL Network’s Albert Breer, the man was loaded into a ambulance almost immediately and was talking on his way out of the stadium. Medical personel were on the scene quickly after the man fell, according to Breer’s tweets from late Sunday night.

A handful of fans at football games have fallen from tall heights around the country this football season, both at the NFL and NCAA levels. A fan fell from an escalator at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey earlier this season as he was exiting a game that featured the New York Giants and Washington Redskins.

During the preseason, a fan fell to his death at the Texans' Reliant Stadium.
