Jets vs. Titans, Week 15: The ‘worst football game I have ever watched’

Neither team looked good on Monday night, but at least Titans fans are happy they got a win out of it.

How bad was Monday night's game between the Tennessee Titans and the New York Jets?

The worst, says Jimmy Morris of SB Nation’s Music City Miracles:

That is, without a doubt, the worst football game I have ever watched. I will never understand how the Jets won six games. They have the worst offense of any team to ever win six games in the history of the NFL.

Morris was quick to point out that the Titans didn’t look too good either, but at least they came away with a 14-10 victory.

The lone bright spot for the Titans was running back Chris Johnson, who rushed for 122 yards and a touchdown on 21 carries. His stats are a bit skewed, though, as he ran for a 94-yard touchdown in the second quarter. Without that factored in, Johnson racked up 28 yards on 20 carries. That’s a 1.4 yards per carry average.

Quarterback Jake Locker was 13-of-22 for 149 yards with no touchdowns or interceptions. It was his first full game without a touchdown or interception this season.

The Titans improved to 5-9 with the victory. The Jets fell to 6-8.

Tennessee will try to end its season on a high note. Monday night's win snapped a three-game losing streak. Now the Titans have to travel to play the Green Bay Packers and then finish the season at home against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
