Rashad Jennings injury: Running back won’t return against Bills after head injury

Rashad Jennings injured his head on a play in the second quarter against the Bills. He will not return.

Jacksonville Jaguars running back Rashad Jennings went down with an injury in the second quarter of the team's game on Sunday against the Buffalo Bills.

Jennings was off to an uneventful start to the game for the Jaguars before injuring his head. He is out for the game, according to Ryan O’Hallaran. Jenning had eight rushes for 20 yards before the injury. He had just ripped off a 12 yard gain on the play that knocked him out of the game.

The Jaguars are now down to their fourth-string running back. With Maurice Jones-Drew sidelined by a foot injury, Jennings' head injury and Jalen Parmele's season-ending groin injury, Montell Owens is the last man standing in the Jacksonville backfield.

The Buffalo Bills usually struggle to defend the run, but the Jaguars have had issues with run blocking so far in this game. Perhaps Owens can provide a spark for the run game.
