The Buffalo Bills had an offensive outburst against the Jaguars on Sunday.
Jags fans upset by blowout loss to Bills

US PRESSWIREThe final score of an NFL game can sometimes be misleading, and when the Jacksonville Jaguars eventually ended up losing to the Buffalo Bills, 34-18, that turned out to be true. But, much to the chagrin of the Jaguars’ faithful, the blowout loss looked better on paper than it actually was in person.
That’s at least how the guys over at Big Cat Country felt after seeing the Jaguars drop another game, this time to a Bills team that shut down an offense that had started to click these last few weeks.

US PRESSWIREOn the other side of the ball, Buffalo was stout: the Jaguars only got 50 net yards rushing on 18 carries -- that’s 2.8 per attempt -- and Matt Henne looked absolutely dreadful, completing only 18 of 41 attempts.

US PRESSWIREFantasy Impact: Shorts has moved into solid WR2 territory. He could have put up better yardage against the Bills, but the weather was ugly and he has gone over 100 yards in three of his last six outings. Henne has been locked into the wideout since taking over the starting quarterback job.

Rick StewartChandler now has 32 receptions for 417 yards and six touchdowns on the year. He has found the end zone twice in his last four games played.
Fantasy Impact: Chandler owners lucked out. What should have been a dud turned into a serviceable performance with the score. He has found the end zone in five of the 12 games he has played this season, so the odds were not in his favor.

Bob LeveyFantasy Impact: Johnson hasn’t been bad by any means this season, but after back-to-back big seasons, fantasy owners are justifiably disappointed. Thank goodness he found the end zone Sunday, or owners would have had to deal with a major hole in their lineup, just in time for the playoffs.
Johnson is going to be a risky starting fantasy option going forward. The Bills will be playing three of their final four games at home, and will have to contend with potentially nasty weather at Ralph Wilson Stadium.

US PRESSWIREFantasy Impact: Gailey heeded the cries of fantasy owners everywhere last week, before doing an about face this week against the Jags. Jackson has been solid this season and throughout his career, granted, but few players in the league have been as explosive as Spiller. It’s curious that the coaching staff refuses to give Spiller a feature role, but yet here we are.
That said, Spiller was still plenty productive Sunday. Assuming the two backs continue their timeshare, their fantasy value is capped at RB2 status going forward.

Rick StewartFitzpatrick’s rushing score was his first of the season and fourth of his career. He now has 21 total touchdowns on the season.
Fantasy Impact: Fitzpatrick’s rushing touchdown was a nice bonus for fantasy owners, especially considering he doesn’t have a history of getting goal-line carries in his seven-year career. He was pretty lucky to find the end zone passing too, considering the effective running game and the sloppy weather.

Tom SzczerbowskiThe Jaguars offense has been suddenly potent over the last two weeks, nearly knocking off Houston two weeks ago and besting Tennessee last week. The Bills defense, however, plugged the Jags’ run game, holding them to only fifty yards, and kept Henne to only 236 yards passing.
Fantasy Studs: The Bills’ runners. Spiller had a frustrating day for three quarters, but snapped off a 44-yard touchdown run that redeemed his fantasy value, and Jackson ran for 109 yards. Shorts had seven catches for 77 yards and a touchdown before he had to leave the game with a head injury.

Jim RogashJennings was off to an uneventful start to the game for the Jaguars before injuring his head. He is out for the game, according to Ryan O’Hallaran. Jenning had eight rushes for 20 yards before the injury. He had just ripped off a 12 yard gain on the play that knocked him out of the game.
The Buffalo Bills usually struggle to defend the run, but the Jaguars have had issues with run blocking so far in this game. Perhaps Owens can provide a spark for the run game.

Timothy T. Ludwig-US PRESSWIREJust a few weeks ago a matchup at home against the Jaguars would seemingly be an easy win, but with Chad Henne at the helm of the offense, the Jaguars have one of the NFL’s hottest quarterbacks. No really, Chad Henne. He’ll need to keep that streak of strong play going against the Bills defense that has been resurgent as of late, despite allowing the third most points in the NFL.
Brian Galliford from Buffalo Rumblings says Mario Williams has been a leader of a defensive turnaround for the Bills.
