Fantasy Impact: The foremost effect of bad weather tends to be on the quarterbacks. Think back to Week 8 when the Cleveland Browns hosted the San Diego Chargers in a slop-fest. Philip Rivers went 18-for-34 passing for 154 yards, and was somehow the leading passer in the game. Brandon Weeden went an abysmal 11-for-27 for 129 yards, and neither quarterbacks threw a touchdown (or an interception). The game was a season low in yardage for both players.
On the flip side, the running games thrived. Ryan Mathews had 95 yards rushing, and Trent Richardson had 122 yards and a touchdown. Both players carried the ball 24 times. That's good news for Spiller and Jennings, who should expect to touch the ball a lot even if they are ineffective. Fred Jackson is a potential Flex play, after rushing for just 16 yards in a subordinate role last week.
