There's been a lot said about rookie Russell Wilson, mostly about the length of his inseam, but what can't be argued is that he knows how to handle himself on the football field. Even when he's falling over.
Russell Wilson is falling for Braylon Edwards on near-touchdown pass
Though the call was overturned, Wilson isn’t overturned in our hearts.
Late in the first half with the Seahawks driving and tied against the Bears, Wilson lost his balance and decided to attempt a pass to Braylon Edwards in the back of the end zone as he was falling forward. The call was initially ruled a touchdown but was overturned after Mike Carey went under the hood, ruling that the ball made contact with the ground before Edwards had possession. Despite the call being overturned, holy crap did Russell Wilson almost make a touchdown pass as he was falling down?
Yes he did.
Last season a lot of fans were complaining about the Tarvaris Jackson "jump pass" so what do we have to say about the Russell Wilson "stumble pass"? I say it looks pretty good on my end.
