The Seattle Seahawks defeated the Chicago Bears, 23-17, in overtime Sunday afternoon after a relatively uneventful game quickly got out of hand in the final few minutes. What appeared to be the Bears easing into a 14-10 victory soon turned into a wild one as the Seahawks drove 97 yards to go ahead with less than a minute in regulation.

Facing one of the league’s most experienced defenses on the road, an inexperienced Russell Wilson led his team on multiple lengthy drives late in the game to surprise the Bears on Sunday.
That touchdown, which put Seattle ahead, 17-14, seemed to give the Seahawks a stunning road victory, but the Bears remarkably responded with a 56-yard pass from Jay Cutler to Brandon Marshall, giving Robbie Gould a chance to send the game to overtime. The reliable Gould did his thing, knocking through the 46-yard kick to tie the game at 17.
A winded Bears defense couldn't handle Russell Wilson and company in overtime, though, as the Seahawks offense methodically moved down the field for the game-winning score. Making plays with his legs and his arm, Wilson's inexperience rarely showed as he led the Seahawks down the field in front of a stunned Bears crowd.
Characteristic of the game’s final few minutes, Seattle’s game-winning touchdown wasn’t a simple one, as Sidney Rice fell into the end zone after catching a pass from Wilson:
Rice lost the ball after taking a big shot from Major Wright, but officials determined that the ball had already crossed the plane under Rice's possession before it was jarred loose. That gave Seattle the touchdown, preventing the Bears from ever getting possession in the overtime.
Fantasy Studs/Duds
Marshall is the game's obvious big performer, recording 10 catches for 165 yards, including the big catch that led to Gould's then-game-saving field goal. Matt Forte also put up solid numbers after a slow start, putting up 66 rushing yards, 30 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Seattle's two leading receivers, Golden Tate (five catches, 96 yards, 1 touchdown) and Sidney Rice (six catches, 99 yards, 1 touchdown), both put up quality numbers. Wilson had a big day, too, passing for 293 yards, rushing for 71 yards and throwing two touchdown passes.

Odds/Gambling
The Bears were favored by three points, so they obviously failed to cover spread.

Injury Info
The Bears lost wide receiver Earl Bennett before the beginning of the second half to a concussion, leaving their wide receiving corps ridiculously thin. Seattle also lost a player on offense when guard James Carpenter (knee) left the game in the first half.

The Bears take the road next week to face the Minnesota Vikings next Sunday afternoon while the Seahawks host the Arizona Cardinals in an NFC West matchup.
