Experts are split on the outcome of Chargers vs. Jets in Week 16.
The Jets bumbled their way out of postseason contention on Monday night, with embattled quarterback Mark Sanchez turning the ball over five times in a 14-10 loss. The miserable performance has sent Sanchez to the bench, and Greg McElroy will get the start this weekend. Meanwhile, the Chargers were not even competitive in a 31-7 loss to the Carolina Panthers.
With both teams struggling for a good portion of the season, this game is a bit of a toss-up to pick. SB Nation’s Joel Thorman is predicting the Jets will eke out a 17-16 win. All three Yahoo! Sports experts have picked the Jets. Four of the six ESPN experts that have picked so far have picked the Jets, but the Accuscore prediction machine has gone with the Chargers. Finally, five of the eight experts from CBS Sports have picked the Chargers.
