The NFC South did not see any major injuries in Week 13, but a few key players did get nicked up.
NFC South injury report: Asante Samuel, Brandon LaFell banged up in Week 13
Atlanta’s Asante Samuel (shoulder) and Carolina’s Brandon LaFell (foot) highlight the NFC South injury report after Week 13.
Atlanta's Asante Samuel continues to be bothered by a right shoulder issue, as the cornerback left the Falcons' Thursday night win over the New Orleans Saints after aggravating the injury in the first quarter. Samuel has been dealing with the injury for a couple of weeks and is questionable for the Falcons' Week 14 game against the Carolina Panthers.
New Orleans was able to escape the game without any serious injuries, although its playoff chances were dealt a major blow because of the loss.
Elsewhere, Carolina Panthers wide receiver Brandon LaFell left the loss to the Kansas City Chiefs with a sprained foot and did not return. LaFell is questionable to play against the Falcons.
For the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, cornerback LeQuan Lewis suffered a knee injury in the loss to the Denver Broncos and did not return. Lewis was carted off the field and was on crutches after the game. He is questionable for Week 14 against the Philadelphia Eagles.
