Ike Taylor injury: Steelers CB likely out 3-6 weeks

The injury bug has bitten the Steelers again, with Ike Taylor now expected to miss significant time.

The Pittsburgh Steelers just continue to be assaulted by injuries, as word comes down that corner Ike Taylor is out for three to six weeks with a right ankle injury, according to ESPN.com.

The injury was suffered on Sunday evening against the Baltimore Ravens in the first quarter. Taylor was in a walking boot before the team left M&T Bank Stadium and will go for an MRI on Monday.

It's just another tough loss for Pittsburgh, but something it should be used to at this point. Head coach Mike Tomlin has already had to shuffle the deck repeatedly, with Ben Roethlisberger, Rashard Mendenhall, Marcus Gilbert, Troy Polamalu and others going down earlier in the season.

Taylor is by far the best corner on the Steelers and leaves them with a serious hole going into their last four games, as they push for the playoffs.

While Taylor is out, Cortez Allen is expected to step into his role.
