The Titans hardly needed the offense at all to beat the Jaguars this week.
Jaguars fall to Titans in season finale

Derick E. Hingle-US PRESSWIREJacksonville and Tennessee exchanged touchdowns before the Jaguars took a 14-7 lead in the second quarter. But it was all downhill from there as the Titans returned two punts for touchdowns. It didn’t end there, however, as the Titans also ran returned two interceptions for touchdowns, too.
With the loss, the Jaguars fell to 2-14 on the season and more importantly, put Jaguars fans out of their misery, writes Adam Stites of SB Nation’s Jacksonville Jaguars blog, Big Cat Country.

Frederick BreedonJohnson rushed for less than 60 yards in eight of 16 games played this season, but also had five games with at least 122 yards rushing. He finished the year with five total touchdowns.
Fantasy Impact: Johnson had a bounce-back year relative to his dismal 2011 season, but he still didn’t look anywhere close to being the elite runner he was in his first three NFL seasons. He should be considered an RB2 in next year’s fantasy drafts, simply because his ceiling is still very high. Don’t expect the frustrating outings to go away, however.

Frederick BreedonFantasy Impact: Gabbert wasn’t any better before being knocked out for the season with a shoulder injury. It’s unclear what the Jaguars will do with the quarterback position going forward. Maybe Tim Tebow is the answer. Henne apparently isn’t, and Gabbert likely isn’t either unless he can make a big turnaround during the upcoming offseason.

Jim Brown-USA TODAY SportsLewis’ big day salvaged what had been an otherwise quiet season for the veteran tight end. He finished with 52 receptions for 540 yards and four touchdowns on the season.
Fantasy Impact: Lewis put up decent yardage, but struggled once again to find the end zone this year. He failed to score during the 2011 season, and has scored two touchdowns or less in every season of his career outside of a 10-touchdown outburst in 2010. It’s hard to tell whether the problem lies with Lewis or the Jags. Either way, Lewis isn’t a reliable fantasy option.

post-season berthmid-round draft pick. The big winner: Reynaud. The fourth-year journeyman scored his second and third touchdowns on the season, having returned a kickoff earlier this season.

Jeff Hanisch-USA TODAY SportsWhile most fantasy leagues are over, the few that are playing their championship games right now have owners that are kicking themselves for not picking up the Titans defense. Scoring four straight touchdowns without any offensive plays is definitely one way to win a football game.

Jeff Hanisch-US PRESSWIREFantasy Impact: Murphy is still expected to play a role, however, making this a poisonous situation for fantasy owners. Neither running back has done anything this season to suggest that they are worth a spot in your starting lineup. The fact that this is a potential timeshare means that you should try to find production elsewhere, despite a good defensive matchup.

Frederick BreedonThough Johnson did not approach his transcendent numbers from early in his career, he has so far turned in a solid season at running back. Through 15 games, he has 1,187 yards on the ground with five touchdowns. He is averaging 4.7 yards per carry.
Fantasy Impact: It remains to be seen what kind of role Johnson will play in the Titans’ regular season finale. At least fantasy owners can be somewhat reassured that he won’t be rested. The Titans don’t have a playoff run to worry about. In fantasy leagues extending into Week 17, Johnson is a relatively safe play, going up against a Jaguars defense giving up 145 yards rushing per game.

Sam GreenwoodFantasy Impact: Fantasy owners should remove Owens from their lineup immediately. Hopefully you have a sturdy replacement available. Murphy is difficult to recommend, especially since it is unclear whether or not he will be working out of a timeshare. Owens’ injury spoils what was a good matchup. The Titans are allowing 4.2 yards per carry on the season.

USA TODAY SportsOne of only two wins in 2012 for the Jaguars came against the Titans in Week 12 with a 24-19 score. However, trips to Nashville, Tennessee haven’t boded well for the Jaguars as of late, as the Titans have been able to defend their home turf from the division rival in three of the last four weeks.
SuperHorn from Music City Miracles wrote an open letter to Bud Adams asking for sweeping changes, including the firing of head coach Mike Munchak.
