Six of CBS Sports’ eight NFL experts are boldly picking the Dolphins to pull off the improbable upset, even though the Dolphins’ offense is ranked 27th in the NFL and the 49ers’ defense is ranked second in the league in total yards allowed.
Yahoo! Sports’ stable of experts made the 49ers their unanimous pick, thus proving that whatever aqua blue Dolphins Kool-Aid is being served at CBSSports.com’s headquarters is not on tap at Yahoo!.
SB Nation’s own Joel Thorman believes that the vaunted 49ers defense will have little trouble stifling the Dolphins’ lackluster offense, and picks San Francisco to walk away with a 24-6 win.
Sunday marks the first time the two teams have met since 2008, when the Dolphins knocked off the 49ers, 14-9.
Kickoff is slated for 4:05 p.m. ET at Candlestick Park and the game will be televised on CBS.
