NFL Faces Another Lawsuit Over Concussions

The NFL is facing another lawsuit over concussions, this time a suit headline by former Redskins QB Mark Rypien.

Presswire

The NFL is being sued -- again -- by a group of former players regarding concussions. The Washington Times reports a class-action suit headlined by former Redskins QB Mark Rypien was filed in US District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, a suit that includes a total of 126 players.

Rypien alleges in the suit he had “repeated traumatic injuries to his head” during his career.

The suit alleges the NFL was aware of the risks of repetitive traumatic brain injury but hid the information and misled players, resulting in permanent brain damage of neurological disorders.

According to the suit, Rypien “suffers from various neurological conditions and symptoms related to the multiple head traumas.”

According to NFLConcussionLitigation.com, there have been approximately 51 suits filed against the NFL over head injuries, so this is the latest in a long string of lawsuits against the league.
