Free agent wide receiver Jerome Simpson will visit the Minnesota Vikings this Saturday, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports. Simpson was the Cincinnati Bengals' No. 2 receiver behind A.J. Green last season, and was considered a relatively hot commodity on the free agent market before being sentenced to 15 days in jail and three years probation on drug charges earlier this month.
Jerome Simpson Visiting The Vikings
Free agent wide receiver Jerome Simpson will visit the Minnesota Vikings on Saturday. The former Cincinnati Bengal has had some legal trouble lately, but would give a big boost to a thin receiving corps in Minneapolis.

Simpson could still face up to a four-game suspension from the NFL under current rules, lowering market demand for his services. He is certainly a talented prospect, however, catching 50 passes for 725 yards, four touchdowns and one ridiculous front flip over a defender into the endzone. The Vikings are desperate for wide receiver help with very little depth outside of Percy Harvin and Michael Jenkins.
Simpson also visited with the St. Louis Rams prior to his sentencing.
