Over the weekend, 21 different NFL teams will be holding minicamps to allow rookies, undrafted free agents and other tryout players to get their coaches better acquainted with their new additions before preseason workouts begin in earnest.
Limas Sweed, Will Hill Among Tryouts At Giants Minicamp
According to Mike Garafolo of the Star-Ledger, there are at least a couple of interesting names in attendance at the minicamp. Former Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Limas Sweed is in attendance, as is defensive back Will Hill, formerly of the Florida Gators, who went undrafted and unsigned in 2011. Both players will be getting looks as tryouts.
Sweed was drafted by the Steelers in 2008 and was waived in 2010. The former Texas Longhorns wideout has seven career receptions for 69 yards. Hill was signed by the Arizona Rattlers of the Arena Football League after going undrafted last year.
