After a number of teams declined offers to appear on the show, the Miami Dolphins have agreed to be the featured team in HBO's "Hard Knocks." Dolphins head coach Joe Philbin confirmed the news at a Tuesday morning media briefing.
Dolphins Accept ‘Hard Knocks’ Invite; HBO Will Feature Training Camp In Miami
Hard Knocks finally has a team. The Dolphins announced on Tuesday that they will be featured in the HBO show chronicling training camp.

Philbin characterized the move as a "football decision" and said the appearance on "Hard Knocks" will help the team "show a new identity." The Dolphins could use some positive exposure after a rough offseason in which Peyton Manning and Matt Flynn opted not to play in Miami despite the Dolphins overtures.
"Hard Knocks" is a series produced by HBO in which cameras follow a team throughout training camp. It's a reality show of sorts showing what a team goes through during training camp. The Jets, the last team to be featured in "Hard Knocks," were a popular choice in 2010. "Hard Knocks" was not produced in 2011.
