It's not exactly a good time to be a Saints fan. In addition to Jonathan Vilma et. al. being suspended for long periods of time, Mark Ingram needed arthroscopic surgery that will put him out for a while. Here's Adam Schefter with the news:

The former Heisman winner had 122 rushes for 474 yards in his rookie season.
Obviously six weeks won’t make the running back miss any time in the regular season, but in addition to all the other Saints-related problems, a running back getting injured is not the thing that New Orleans needs right now. With half of a defense gone, an offensive factor disappearing for a few weeks - and having iffy knees - is not the best.
